"I started making beads more by accident than design. Being a hair-wrap artist, I needed to use beads with larger holes and after searching through bead shop after bead shop, both in Australia and overseas, I decided the best thing to do was to purchase some "FIMO" - style modelling clay and put myself to work. I was in a pleasant, natural environment at the time, in the rainforest working the local craft markets, so inspiration came in the form of rainbows, stars, hearts, moons, plants, animals, fruits and other naturally - occuring phenomena. I have been making polymer-clay "FIMO" - style beads for over eight years now, and have explored numerous designs, features and colour combinations from my experience with colour in hair-wrapping as well. I have endless hours of enjoyment creating new designs."
